Idaho OFCCP Job Posting Requirements
Idaho OFCCP job posting requirements rest on VEVRAA, which tells covered federal contractors and subcontractors to list most job openings with the employment service delivery system that serves the job location. In Idaho, that system is the Idaho Department of Labor. Employers post openings on IdahoWorks, the state's online job matching site, and staff at local Department of Labor offices around the state help with recruiting and refer job seekers to employers, with protected veterans given priority. The rule reaches openings in Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Idaho Falls, Pocatello, Coeur d'Alene and every other Idaho location where you hire, with only a few exceptions.
Idaho hiring rarely stays inside state lines. A team that staffs the Treasure Valley may also fill roles in Spokane, Salt Lake City or eastern Oregon, and seasonal hiring adds short bursts of openings at the same time. Each job has to be listed with the system for the state where the work happens, which is easy to get wrong when one recruiter covers the whole region. Manual posting adds a login, a form and a gap in the records whenever a busy week gets in the way. dstribute takes that work off the desk. It connects to the ATS your team already uses, checks the location on each suitable opening, and sends Idaho jobs to the Idaho ESDS automatically. It also keeps a dated record of every send for your audit file, so you can show what was listed and when. To see it with your own Idaho jobs, fill in the form beside this text.

Listing Idaho Jobs the Right Way
Idaho OFCCP job posting requirements are federal rules carried out through a state system. This page explains the rule, how IdahoWorks fits in, and how regional and seasonal hiring affects your listings.
What the Federal Rule Asks For
Under the VEVRAA regulations at 41 CFR Part 60-300, covered contractors list suitable openings with the state employment service for the job location so protected veterans can be referred with priority. OFCCP may review these listings during a compliance evaluation.
IdahoWorks and the Idaho Department of Labor
The Idaho Department of Labor runs IdahoWorks, where employers create an account, post openings and look for candidates. Local offices around the state also offer recruiting help. Our IdahoWorks page goes deeper into the system.
Openings That Need a Listing
The listing duty covers full-time, part-time and temporary openings lasting more than three days. It does not cover executive and top management roles, positions filled from within your own workforce, or jobs of three days or less. Check with counsel if a role or contract is unclear.
Telling the State Who You Are
Let the Idaho system know you are a federal contractor, give the name of the hiring official at each Idaho location, and ask for priority referral of protected veterans. Update these details when a site opens or a contact changes.
Seasonal and Short Term Hiring
Agriculture, food processing and outdoor recreation bring seasonal peaks. Temporary roles that last more than three days still need a listing, so a busy season can multiply the work. Our guide to ESDS requirements covers how listings work at volume.
Jobs Near the State Line
A job in Post Falls goes to Idaho, while one in Spokane Valley goes to Washington and one in Logan goes to Utah. See our Washington rules page and our Utah listings page for those states.
Remote and Hybrid Roles
Remote roles raise the question of which state system applies. Our post on remote work walks through common approaches, and counsel can confirm the right one for your contracts.

OFCCP Compliance: What Changes After the 2026 Midterms?
The 2026 U.S. midterm elections could mark a turning point for federal contractor compliance. With Democrats gaining control of Congress, questions are emerging about the future of the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), affirmative action requirements, and the potential reversal of President Donald Trump’s executive orders. Priority Referral for Protected Veterans: How State Job Listings Work
Every covered federal contractor that lists a job with a state workforce system is doing more than filling a box on a compliance form.
