ESDS Job Posting in Utah
ESDS job posting in Utah means listing your openings on jobs.utah.gov, the free job listing system run by the Utah Department of Workforce Services. VEVRAA requires covered federal contractors to list suitable Utah openings there so protected veterans get priority referral. dstribute posts your Utah jobs from your ATS to the state system automatically and keeps documentation ready for each listing. The rule is simple to state and easy to miss in practice. Every suitable Utah opening has to reach the state system, and it should be listed promptly rather than weeks after the job goes live elsewhere. When recruiters hire across several states, jobs often go to commercial boards first and the state listing gets left for later.
Entering each requisition by hand takes time, and a missed listing is hard to prove or repair after the fact. Executive and senior management roles, internal promotions, and very short jobs fall outside the duty, so teams must also sort which openings count. dstribute removes the manual step. It works with the ATS your team already uses, so recruiters keep their current workflow and nothing new has to be learned. As suitable Utah jobs are created, dstribute distributes them to the Utah employment service automatically, includes the information the state requires, and stores a dated record of every listing. That record gives you a clear audit trail for OFCCP, showing which openings were listed and when. To see how it would work for your team, fill in the form beside this text and we will walk you through it.

What jobs.utah.gov Accepts as a Utah ESDS Listing
ESDS stands for employment service delivery system. Under VEVRAA, it is the public employment service that federal contractors list their openings with so protected veterans can receive priority referral. In Utah, that system is jobs.utah.gov. This page covers the state’s own rules for job listings, because a listing the state removes does not help you show compliance. For the board itself, see our page on OFCCP job posting to Utah Jobs. Who Runs the Utah ESDS
The Utah Department of Workforce Services (DWS) runs jobs.utah.gov. Employers who use the site agree to the DWS employer user agreement, which sets the terms for listing openings and searching job seekers.
Listings Must Describe a Real, Immediate Opening
The DWS agreement states that job listings must be valid, describe an immediate opening, and give a detailed job description. Placeholder or evergreen postings that do not match a current requisition may not meet those terms. dstribute sends the full description from your ATS so each Utah listing reflects the actual opening.
Roles DWS Does Not Accept
DWS does not accept postings for independent contractor roles, business opportunities, unpaid internships, or volunteer work. The posting employer must have a real employer and employee relationship with the worker. Review how your Utah requisitions are classified before they are sent.
Equal Opportunity Language and Removal
The agreement requires listings to follow equal opportunity rules, and DWS can remove any listing it finds inaccurate, illegal, or inappropriate. Clear EEO and VEVRAA language in every Utah listing supports both the state terms and your federal obligations.
Which Utah Openings Must Be Listed
The listing requirement covers all employment openings except executive and senior management roles, positions filled from within the contractor’s own workforce, and positions lasting three days or less. The listing should reach the Utah system no later than the job reaches any other recruiting source. Our page on when ESDS is required walks through each part of the rule.
Documenting Utah ESDS Listings
During a compliance evaluation, OFCCP can compare the openings at a Utah establishment with the listings that reached jobs.utah.gov. dstribute logs each listing with the position, the Utah location, and the date it was sent, so you can show what was listed and when. Our audit support recordkeeping and ESDS compliance checklist show how to review that file before an evaluation.
How dstribute Automates ESDS Job Posting in Utah
dstribute connects to the ATS your recruiters already use, including Workday, iCIMS, and TempWorks. When a Utah opening is published, dstribute sends it to jobs.utah.gov, applies your approved EEO and VEVRAA language, and records the result. For the full set of obligations, read our guide to OFCCP job posting for federal contractors in Utah, or contact dstribute about our federal contractor services.
