ESDS Job Posting in South Carolina
ESDS job posting in South Carolina means listing your openings in SC Works Online Services (SCWOS), the labor exchange system run by the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce. VEVRAA requires covered federal contractors to list suitable South Carolina openings there so protected veterans get priority referral. dstribute posts your South Carolina jobs from your ATS to SCWOS automatically and keeps the documentation ready. What makes South Carolina listing hard is volume and timing. Recruiters open and change requisitions all week, and each suitable opening needs its own state listing. If the work is manual, someone has to log in to the state portal, copy the job details, and remember to repeat the step whenever the job changes.
Busy teams skip steps, and a gap in the file is difficult to explain during an OFCCP review. Executive and senior management roles, internal promotions, and very short jobs are outside the duty, so the team also has to decide which openings need a listing. dstribute is built for exactly this. It connects to your existing ATS and automates the South Carolina listing, so suitable openings reach the state without extra logins or copy and paste. Each listing is saved with the date it was sent, which gives your team a ready audit file instead of a scramble when a review letter arrives. Recruiters stay focused on candidates while compliance runs in the background. If you would like to see it in action, complete the form beside this text and our team will be in touch.

SCWOS Account Verification and Your South Carolina ESDS Listings
ESDS stands for employment service delivery system. Under VEVRAA, it is the public employment service that federal contractors list their openings with so protected veterans can receive priority referral. In South Carolina, that system is SC Works Online Services, known as SCWOS. This page focuses on the employer account step that comes before any South Carolina listing can go live. For the board itself, see our page on OFCCP job posting to SC Works. New to the term? Start with What Is ESDS?
Who Runs the South Carolina ESDS
The South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce (DEW) runs SCWOS and uses it to meet the federal requirement to administer a labor exchange system. SC Works center staff and a state level SCWOS accounts team share the work of reviewing employer accounts.
Why a New Account Cannot Post Right Away
A new SCWOS recruiting account starts in Pending Verification status. DEW policy states that accounts in this status cannot post public job orders, search candidates, or use the virtual recruiter tools. Only an Enabled account can post public job orders. DEW says verification is typically completed within three business days, so set up the account before you need to list your first South Carolina opening.
What DEW Asks For During Verification
Plan to provide a FEIN, a South Carolina unemployment insurance tax account number or a denial letter, company and address details, and an HR contact. Each establishment you hire for should have accurate information on file, because a gap in verification is a gap in your listing record.
Keeping the Account Active
DEW closes the active job orders on an account that becomes locked. If an account is locked during an open requisition, your South Carolina listings stop. Assign an owner for the SCWOS account, keep the contact details current, and review account status as part of your regular compliance checks.
Which South Carolina Openings Must Be Listed
The listing requirement covers all employment openings except executive and senior management roles, positions filled from within the contractor’s own workforce, and positions lasting three days or less. The listing should reach the South Carolina system no later than the job reaches any other recruiting source. Our page on when ESDS is required walks through each part of the rule.
Documenting South Carolina ESDS Listings
During a compliance evaluation, OFCCP can compare the openings at a South Carolina establishment with the listings that reached SCWOS. dstribute logs each listing with the position, the South Carolina location, and the date it was sent, so you can show what was listed and when. Our audit support recordkeeping and ESDS compliance checklist show how to review that file before an evaluation.
How dstribute Automates ESDS Job Posting in South Carolina
dstribute connects to the ATS your recruiters already use, including Workday, iCIMS, and TempWorks. Once your SCWOS account is enabled, each South Carolina opening you publish is sent to SCWOS with your approved EEO and VEVRAA language, and the result is recorded.
