ESDS Job Posting in Nevada
ESDS job posting in Nevada means listing your openings in EmployNV, the job system run by the Employment Security Division of the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR). VEVRAA requires covered federal contractors to list suitable Nevada openings there so protected veterans get priority referral. dstribute sends your Nevada openings from your ATS to EmployNV and keeps a dated record of each listing. Nevada is one of the states where this duty applies to covered federal contractors and subcontractors with a worksite in the state. Most contractors know the listing duty exists. The trouble is doing it every time. Each suitable Nevada opening needs to reach the state employment service, the details need to match what the state asks for, and the timing needs to be documented.
Spreadsheets and reminders help, but they depend on people remembering a separate task for every requisition. When hiring picks up, that task is the first to slip, and a missing record is hard to rebuild later. A clean process matters more than good intentions. dstribute connects to the ATS your team already uses, so there is no new system for recruiters to learn. When a suitable Nevada opening is created, dstribute sends it to the Nevada employment service automatically, applies the details the state asks for, and keeps a dated record of each listing for your audit file. If OFCCP asks how you meet the listing duty, you can show what was listed, where, and when. Fill in the form beside this text and the dstribute team will show you how Nevada listing works with your ATS.

Nevada ESDS Listings: Complete Job Orders and the Posting Window
ESDS stands for employment service delivery system. Under VEVRAA, it is the public employment service that federal contractors list their openings with so protected veterans can receive priority referral. The listing goes to the system that serves the location of the job. In Nevada, that is EmployNV, run by the Employment Security Division of the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR). This page covers the two ways a Nevada job order reaches EmployNV, why complete orders matter, and how to plan around the state’s posting window. For the full set of state obligations, see our guide to OFCCP job posting for federal contractors in Nevada. New to the term? Start with What Is ESDS?
Who Runs the Nevada ESDS
DETR’s Employment Security Division runs EmployNV. According to DETR, the job orders it receives are posted to both EmployNV.gov and US.Jobs/Nevada. Two EmployNV Business Hubs support employers: the Northern Nevada Business Hub at (775) 284-9660 and the Southern Nevada Business Hub at (702) 486-0129.
Two Ways to Submit a Nevada Job Order
You can enter a job order online and handle screening yourself. In that case, candidates contact you directly, and the job is listed online once it is approved. You can also submit the order through a Business Hub by phone or fax. DETR says hub staff will contact you within 24 hours to complete the order, and Employment Security Division staff can screen and refer candidates. Either route means you accept DETR’s Job Order Terms of Agreement.
Plan Around the Two Business Day Window
DETR states that job orders it receives are posted within two business days. VEVRAA expects your listing to reach the state system no later than the job reaches any other recruiting source. Send each Nevada order the day the requisition opens, so the state window does not push your ESDS listing behind your other postings.
Why Incomplete Job Orders Stall
DETR does not post an incomplete job order. It sends instructions on which sections to finish before the order can go live. dstribute builds each Nevada listing from the requisition data in your ATS, so the details your recruiters already entered travel with the order.
Which Nevada Openings Must Be Listed
The listing requirement covers all employment openings except executive and senior management roles, positions filled from within the contractor’s own workforce, and positions lasting three days or less. The listing should identify you as a federal contractor, give contact details for the hiring official at each location, and ask for priority referral of protected veterans. Our page on when ESDS is required walks through each part of the rule.
Documenting Nevada ESDS Listings
During a compliance evaluation, OFCCP can compare the openings at a Nevada establishment with the listings that reached the state system. dstribute logs each listing with the position, the Nevada location, and the date it was sent, so you can show what was listed and when. Our audit support recordkeeping and ESDS compliance checklist show how to review that file before an evaluation.
