Kentucky OFCCP Job Posting Requirements
Kentucky OFCCP job posting requirements come from VEVRAA, the federal law that asks covered contractors to list most job openings with the employment service delivery system serving the job location. In Kentucky, that system is the Kentucky Career Center. Employers create an account on Focus Talent, the state employer job posting portal, and either upload an existing job description or build one with its job post wizard. Career Center staff then refer job seekers to those openings, and protected veterans receive priority. The rule reaches openings in Louisville, Lexington, Bowling Green, Owensboro, Covington and every other Kentucky site where you hire, with a few excluded roles. Paducah and Ashland area hiring is covered too.
The tricky part is the river. Northern Kentucky sits inside the Cincinnati metro, so a warehouse job in Florence or Erlanger belongs in the Kentucky system while an office job across the bridge in Cincinnati belongs in Ohio. Louisville teams that also hire in southern Indiana face the same split. Doing it by hand means someone has to check the address on every requisition and log in to the state portal one job at a time, so the work grows with each new site, and busy hiring weeks lead to missed listings and screenshots with no date. dstribute removes that manual step. It connects to the ATS your team already uses, reads the location on each new opening, and sends suitable Kentucky jobs to the Kentucky ESDS automatically. Every send is saved with the job title, location, receiving system and date, ready for your audit file. To see how it would work across your Kentucky locations, fill in the form beside this text.

Kentucky Listings Made Simple and Traceable
Kentucky OFCCP job posting requirements are set at the federal level, but each listing ends up in the Kentucky state system. This page explains the rule, the Kentucky Career Center, and how to handle jobs near the Ohio and Indiana borders.
What the Rule Requires
The VEVRAA regulations at 41 CFR Part 60-300 tell covered contractors to list suitable openings with the state employment service for the job location so protected veterans can receive priority referral. OFCCP may ask to see these listings during a compliance review.
The Kentucky Career Center and Focus Talent
The Kentucky Career Center runs the state job bank and local centers across the Commonwealth. Employers register on Focus Talent to post jobs and search resumes, and support comes from Kentucky Career Center staff. Our page on the Kentucky Career Center covers the system in more depth.
Which Openings Count
Covered openings include full-time, part-time and temporary roles lasting more than three days. Executive and top management roles, positions filled from within your own workforce, and jobs of three days or less are excluded. Check with counsel when a role or contract is unclear.
What to Tell the State
Let the Kentucky Career Center know that you are a federal contractor, name the hiring official for each Kentucky location, and ask for priority referral of protected veterans. Our post on priority referral explains what that request means in practice.
Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati
Jobs in Covington, Florence, Erlanger and Hebron go to Kentucky. Jobs in Cincinnati or elsewhere in southwest Ohio go to the Ohio system, which our OhioMeansJobs page describes.
Louisville and Southern Indiana
Louisville employers often run sites in Jeffersonville or New Albany. Those Indiana jobs follow Indiana rules, as our Indiana requirements page explains, while Louisville jobs stay with Kentucky.
Common Gaps to Avoid
Typical gaps are openings that never reach the state, metro jobs listed in the wrong state, and listings with no date. Our post on proof of delivery explains why a dated record is stronger than a screenshot.
How dstribute Handles Kentucky Jobs
dstribute connects to your ATS, reads each new opening, and sends suitable Kentucky jobs to the state system automatically, while Ohio and Indiana jobs go to their own systems. Each send is stored with the job title, location, receiving system and date.

Priority Referral for Protected Veterans: How State Job Listings Work
